In an industry known for pushing the envelope and creating cutting edge new forms of entertainment, it might be easy for christian contemporary music fans to miss the awesome talents of this soon-to-be supergroup. Christian entertainment has long been at the forefront of the industry, breaking new ground and setting new trends. The Renewed Mind Dancers are in a class by themselves though. You won't want to miss their riveting live performance if they happen to be coming to a town near you. Make sure you get their early though. You won't want to miss the opening act Sonseed. Seriously, I have no idea where these came from but they are awesome!

Election Time

Man, it seems like every day there are new accusations and mean statements from one camp to the next. In fact, sometimes its really difficult to wade through the rhetoric and get a real sense of who these guys are and what they stand for. Saddleback Community Church hosted a Civil Forum where each of the presidential candidates answered a series of questions designed to reveal a little about their character and their world view. It's excellent. Go here to watch it in its entirety.

Bigfoot Is for Real!

I knew it! I knew eventually somebody would discover evidence that proved the existence of Bigfoot. In this case, they found a body. If you read down the page, these guys have scheduled a news conference for friday where they will present dna evidence from the body that supposedly proves that this is a "Bigfoot". Awesome! Next up, the Loch Ness Monster.

This whole conversation reminded me of the late comedian Mitch Hedberg. Here's his take on the legendary monster.

"I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry, and that's extra scary to me. There's a large out of focus monster roaming the countryside. Look out, he's fuzzy, let's get out of here."

Man, that's good stuff.

"Lost Boy" Leads American Olympians

I'm telling you, I read this story with a lot of pride and more than a few tears. It reminded me of my friends from Sudan, "Lost Boys" themselves, who are truly some of the most amazing people I have ever met. I am continually amazed at how God is re-writing their stories. It also makes me proud, on the day the Olympics begin, to be a citizen of the United States of America. For all of our problems and shortcomings, this country is one of a very few where a story like this would even be possible. Very, very cool.
