Let’s get the boring stuff out of the way first:
KYBELLA® is a prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.” It is not known if Kybella is safe and effective for use outside of the submental area or in children less than 18 years of age.
I’ve had Kybella injections at Emerge Medical & Well Spa and I am glad I did. I have inherited a lot of good genes from my ancestors but I also inherited a few that I wasn’t so keen on. The older I got, the worse my double got and I was frustrated. There wasn’t anything I could about it outside of liposuction or plastic surgery, until recently. I had researched and had spoken with a couple of surgeons about my options and cost. I just couldn’t do it, the cost and the down time were not in my budget. I wasn’t willing to spend the money for plastic surgery and I also didn’t want to spend an entire vacation recuperating. My vacations are for traveling and having fun.
Just when I thought I’d never get rid of the double chin, I began hearing about a new treatment for the dreaded double chin at Emerge Medical & Well Spa – it was Kybella. I started doing some research about Kybella, the results, and the cost, and I was sold.
I must admit that I had tried one other treatment before finding out about Kybella, Ultherapy. Ultherapy didn’t give me the results I wanted or expected but Kybella has done just the opposite. It’s AFFORDABLE and IT WORKS (for most anyway). After my 1st treatment at Emerge Medical & Well Spa, the side effects I experienced with Kybella were some swelling and bruising. However, on my 2nd treatment at Emerge Medical & Well Spa, I still experienced some swelling but very little bruising. Of course, everyone’s side effects may not be the same. And the good news, it’s easy to hide swelling and/or bruising with a scarf or turtleneck. Oh, and it doesn’t hurt (much)!
