During the 10 to 15 minute procedure, our trained specialist injects Botox into the muscle that surrounds the upper lip. This temporarily weakens the muscle, causing the upper lip to gently flip outward. The effect is a fuller-looking upper lip with a more defined shape. Unlike lip fillers, the Lip Flip does not add volume but instead accentuates your natural lip contour.
The Lip Flip and Lip Fillers are both popular treatments at Emerge! Both procedures help make your lips look fuller, but the way in which they look fuller is different. Lip fillers involve injecting hyaluronic acid (HA) into your lips to add volume. A Lip Flip uses Botox, instead of HA, to give the appearance of fuller lips without actually adding volume to the lips themselves. Both procedures have merits, it is up to you and our specialists to determine which is right for you!an also be used to soften the lines around the mouth or to correct a gummy smile. But, there are some different uses for it beyond cosmetics, primarily in helping to treat hyperhidrosis.
